@cc24aal great question. If a manufacturer states that a dual crown is welcome on trail bike, we will open up that bike to be built like a DH bike. For example, Forbidden allows 180mm dual crowns on the Dreadnought. You will be able to choose either. There's a grey area here. Anyone can built up a Saint drivetrain to any trail bike and it'll work just as expected. We will play with these 'less than normal' scenarios in the future.

@Lucasgri today we migrated to a standardized nav across mobile / tablet / desktop. please holler if you have any more problems.

Hey Bikology Crew,
As many of you have noticed, there's been a pause on product additions, removed some components like DH forks, and didn't transfer over bikes from 2022 and older to this platform. We thought we'd chime in and provide an update.
Over the years, we've partnered with a number of online retailers and moved through a lot of custom functionality to make these projects happen. What ended up happening were a few too many cooks in the kitchen as far as images and functionality goes. Templates degraded, and it left us in a tough spot.
While we did our transition to the new platform, we scaffolded a new template engine that will allow us to move quicker in product additions. However, there's a lot of moving parts that make this a complicated project... even if it is our bread and butter. Our next templates will be DH bikes, Enduro bikes, Trail bikes and XC bikes. Hardtails will mix in with these categories as well. To follow will be Gravel bikes, DJs, BMX, and so on.
Thanks for your patience while we are setting ourselves up for a more productive and efficient future. We will post updates on this thread as we move through.

@francsever mind sending a screenshot of what you are doing so we can diagnose? We are not seeing a DPX2 with decals on our list.

@trafficones @john-lewis @gerrrito @joey134676741 @DL230461 . update on our end here. we are about a week away from launching our dealer program, so bike shops can use this software too. at the end of the day, we have to make a little bit of cash to keep the lights on. as soon as this is live, we are going through our templates on a huge refactor. bar height, bar color, and grip color / pattern are on this list(of course dh bikes are too). 3D rendering, or a frontal view is unlikely in the near future, but we may play with just a bar, stem, grip, levers view in the future. if we had all of these components and frames in hand, you can bet that we would launch a 3d version of this software. here's a screen grab of what an ideally rendered trail bike will look like:

thanks for the feedback and being patient with what we are doing. keep it coming as ideas pop up!

@Lucasgri we are toying with the idea of moving the mobile/tablet nav to small desktop sizes, it seems to work better all the way around. As far as ads go, we are testing some options and seeing what performs. Thanks for being patient as we move forward.
– The Bikology Crew
@codeindh we have on of these on our hardtail's fox 38 and absolutely love it. you can bet it's on the list. too bad it's on the brake side of the fork, otherwise it would look really slick on our builder.
—The Bikology Crew
@Lucasgri 100%. we enjoy desktop more. out of curiosity, what is your display size of your desktop?
— The Bikology Crew
@downcountry @elionakona @jack.osborne @truen.u @orly0p7 @nukeproofowner69 @Matze dirt jumpers and dh bikes are high on our list. we are working through template updates that will allow use to scale into different bike categories easily. please be patient with us... side note, we are looking to do a Trek Ticket S giveaway here soon, keep your eyes peeled.
— The Bikology Crew
@trafficones @cc24aal this is a hurdle for some brands. if we can't find images of framesets, or the manufacturer doesn't have a frame only option... we typically don't add to the website. we have a feature in our backlog where someone can customize a complete bike. one day!
— The Bikology Crew
@Lucasgri how is your experience on a mobile device? do you prefer that navigation?
—The Bikology Crew
@Lucasgri @allterain thanks for the feedback! the reason we only have bikes 2020 and newer on the site is so that we can work through the templates accordingly. We have a new template engine coming soon that allows for cleaner chains, to solve the UDH problem we have, and to easily scale other templates... Like DH bikes for example!
— The Bikology Crew
@Pikaporo @Harpan-1 We totally understand. We want them back too. Over the course of developing Bikology, some bugs have become integrated into what we are doing. For example, Transmission derailleurs hang off the hanger, and not the frame. We migrated 2020 & newer bikes and components on purpose to allow us a smaller subset of products to work through the template fixes. As soon as we are crushing our new templating system... You can bet you will see everything in our database on this site!
— The Bikology Crew
@lucasigma.. we had an issue that caused our builder not to work here for the last few hours. please try again and let us know if it's working as expected.
—The Bikology Crew
@Dirtr1der thanks so much for requesting this. However the Supreme DH V5 in frame only doesn't come in that colorway, unless I am mistaken. We will queue it up with frame colors available. Thanks!
@Lucasgri you should now have the option to open and close that box as needed. please let us know if you have any more problems, thanks!
— The Bikology Crew
@downcountry mind sending us a screenshot of what you mean? Thanks!
