when will the dh bikes come out -
The old bikology was better@Pikaporo @Harpan-1 We totally understand. We want them back too. Over the course of developing Bikology, some bugs have become integrated into what we are doing. For example, Transmission derailleurs hang off the hanger, and not the frame. We migrated 2020 & newer bikes and components on purpose to allow us a smaller subset of products to work through the template fixes. As soon as we are crushing our new templating system... You can bet you will see everything in our database on this site!

Bikology Founder Brian's 2011 Santa Cruz V10 Carbon MulletHere's my 2011 V10 Carbon size XL. Set up single speed with a SB1 tensioner. Modern Ohlins DH38 with a 27.5" front wheel. Onyx hubs or bust. This bike is ridden every season and is a ton of fun to lap Teton Pass with. Some bikes you can never part ways with. #foreverquiver.

📝 How to Request a Bike Be Added to BikologyWant to see your favorite bike on Bikology? This is the place to request it. Before posting, please read the guidelines below so we can get your request added quickly and accurately.
What to Include in Your Request:
Year – Make – Model of the bike frame.
Example: 2024 Specialized Stumpjumper EVO
At least one horizontal image of the frame (side profile preferred).
No angled shots, ads, or lifestyle pics — clean side-view photos work best. If the frame has multiple colorways, please include frame shots of each colorway.
Any helpful notes about the frame (e.g., geometry link, special edition, or important specs).
Posting Format:
When you make a request, please structure it like this:
Post Title: 2024 Specialized Stumpjumper Evo
Year: 2024
Make: Specialized
Model: Stumpjumper EVO
Image: clean horizontal frame images
Notes: geometry information, or a link to the manufacturer spec page of the bikeA Few Notes:
Requests that don’t follow the format may take longer to be added (or not get added at all).
Please only post one bike per request thread to keep things organized. Feel free to drop an upvote on a bike you'd like to see on the site, rather than requesting it again!
Responses to this post, or requests as responses in other posts won't be considered.
If a bike is already in Bikology, no need to request it again — just start building!
We’ll do our best to get your requests added as quickly as possible. Thanks for helping us grow the library of bikes on Bikology — the more options we have, the more fun it is to build, share, and dream.

The chain on SRAM AXS is buggy@Lucasgri @allterain thanks for the feedback! the reason we only have bikes 2020 and newer on the site is so that we can work through the templates accordingly. We have a new template engine coming soon that allows for cleaner chains, to solve the UDH problem we have, and to easily scale other templates... Like DH bikes for example!

From Bikologi to Bikology 🚲✨Hey everyone,
We wanted to take a moment to welcome you to the new Bikology.com (yep, with a y this time) and explain what’s been going on behind the scenes.
First off, an apology. We know the old Bikologi.com site wasn’t always maintained as well as it should've been. Between keeping the wheels turning and being out riding bikes, the platform didn't get the love it deserved. For that, we're sorry - and grateful that so many of you still stuck around.
This move to Bikology.com marks more than just a domain change. We've been rethinking how the platform should work, not only for today but for years down the road. Instead of a fragile build that's tough to maintain, we're laying down a foundation that's future-proof, flexible, and community-driven. Think: smoother bike building, stronger integrations, and a space that grows with riders instead of lagging behind them.
One thing to note: some of the older bikes (pre-2020) aren't available on the new platform right now. The data was messy, and honestly, keeping it live was slowing everything down. That said, we'd love to bring those models back one day - either as a "throwback garage" or a special archive section if there's enough interest.
This forum is part of that vision - a place where we can share updates, hear your feedback, and keep the conversation rolling. Your input will shape where Bikology goes next.
Thanks for riding with us through the bumps. The road ahead looks a lot smoother, and we're stoked to have you along for the ride.
– The Bikology Crew
P.S. As much as we love seeing bikes built here, we'd always rather see you out riding your bike than spending too much time on the site. The dirt is always better for you than the screen.

Add the ability to change a camera angle and see the bars grips and be able to see the real ones rather then just having a stock bar or grip etc@trafficones @john-lewis @gerrrito @joey134676741 @DL230461 . update on our end here. we are about a week away from launching our dealer program, so bike shops can use this software too. at the end of the day, we have to make a little bit of cash to keep the lights on. as soon as this is live, we are going through our templates on a huge refactor. bar height, bar color, and grip color / pattern are on this list(of course dh bikes are too). 3D rendering, or a frontal view is unlikely in the near future, but we may play with just a bar, stem, grip, levers view in the future. if we had all of these components and frames in hand, you can bet that we would launch a 3d version of this software. here's a screen grab of what an ideally rendered trail bike will look like:
thanks for the feedback and being patient with what we are doing. keep it coming as ideas pop up!

🎮 Ride Free with Bike Free — Now Live on Bikology! We’re stoked to announce the launch of Bike Free, a throwback-inspired bike game built right here on Bikology. Whether you’re killing time between rides or just looking for a new way to rep the culture, this one’s for you.
In Bike Free, you’ll dodge obstacles, keep your flow alive, and send it for as long as you can. Think of it as the digital version of loam laps — no lift ticket required.
Why we built it
Because bikes aren’t just about the gear, they’re about fun. And whether you’re building your dream ride on Bikology or hammering the keyboard to keep your pixel rider rolling, the stoke is the same: your ride, your way.
Bike Free is live
— fire it up, keep pedaling, and let us know how far you get.

PC is not great@Lucasgri we are toying with the idea of moving the mobile/tablet nav to small desktop sizes, it seems to work better all the way around. As far as ads go, we are testing some options and seeing what performs. Thanks for being patient as we move forward.
