About Bikology
Build Your Dream Bike — and then go ride it. We make custom builds easy, but we’ll always cheer for time on dirt over time on screens.
What we do
Bikology is a rider-made platform for exploring, configuring, and sharing custom bike builds. The Builder is the heart of it—mix and match frames, drivetrains, wheels, brakes, and more, then save or share your setup. The Gallery shows what the community is building. Our forum—The Hub—is where questions get answered, feedback lands, and stoke gets shared. And when you need a brain break, hit our mini game Bike Free.
Builder, front and center
The Builder is why we’re here. We care about component-level detail and clear specs so you can make confident choices. If something looks off, tell us—drop a note anywhere in The Hub and we’ll pick it up.
Partners & integrations
Over the years we’ve collaborated with shops to bring Bikology into real buying journeys.
- • Previously integrated with Jenson USA (legacy Bikologi era).
- • Fanatik has licensed a custom Builder integration since 2019 and it’s live today.
Milestones
- First bike published: Santa Cruz Nomad (2016).
- Legacy Bikologi (2016–2025): 2.6 million builds saved and roughly 20× that created in the Builder.
- Fanatik Builder live since 2019 (custom integration).
- Launched Bike Free—because bikes are supposed to be fun.
What we value
- Ride first. We’d rather see you outside than endlessly tweaking specs.
- Community. Inclusive, helpful, no gatekeeping—new riders welcome.
- Accuracy. Specs matter. If we miss, we fix.
Privacy & data use
We keep user data minimal—just what’s needed for accounts and builds. We don’t run our own tracking profiles. We do use services like Google for ads and basic analytics; those services may set their own cookies under their policies.
For details, see our Privacy Policy.
Who’s behind Bikology
Bikology was founded by Brian Sweat, a software engineer and long-time rider based in the Tetons. When he’s not shipping web platforms, he’s building bikes and vehicles—and hanging with his dog, Luna (video). More at bsweaty.com.
