what are peoples opinions about electric components on a bike?

I personally wouldn't buy a e bike or a electric derailer or a electric dropper post because if you forget the batterys you could be riding up hill on the highest gear possible, plus with a e bike you have a max speed witch with a normal bike you don't have, also a normal bike is way better for you

There pretty good tho with a electric derailer there is far less clunking when shifting under pressure if not brands like sram might even say they want you you to shift under higher loads

ELECTRIC PARTS ARE BAD AND SO ARE E BIKES JUST DO THE WORK YOURSELF IT IS NOT THAT HARD DON'T BE LAZY

I donât like the idea of electric parts on bikes because they could fail and then you would know nothing about it because you canât fiddle with the cables and if you had electric brakes that would be even worse (I donât have to explain that one)

I think electric drivetrains arenât bad. They shift way better under pressure, people are saying âwhat if you forget your batteryâ which is a fair argument but my sram axis battery on my cx bike lasted the whole fall season. For me i only have to charge it like once a month. And then people are saying itâs expensive but like what are you going to expect mtb is just expensive. Although both sram and shimano have budget options. Like sram gx axis or shimano di2 deore xt. Also e-bikes i dont hate them because they can introduce people with disabilities into the sport or just new people in general
