How to find a good bike that wont break the bank.
-
So a few years back I was riding some Walmart or Canadian tire Bike. All of my Friends were getting into/Already into bike. As I started to hang out with them more and ride bike everyday I dicidied to look for a New/Good bike. When I seen the prices neither me or my mom were willing to spend that much money for a new bike. I really wanted to get a good Bike so I can ride trails, hit jumps, etc. So I started to look for months. I found a few good deals but decided to not get them as it was not bike season. In May I found a deal so good I couldnt resist. It was a 2012 Norco Katmandu and I bought it and got it dropped off to my house for only 70 bucks cad. I rid that for a few months and my crankarms started to come loose and I relizilaed how many problems this bike has or was soon gonna get. One night I sat down with my mom and scrolled through Facebook marketplace. We found a 2011 Norco Shore 2 for 500 Bucks cad. for 500 Bucks you'd expect some problems like needing to get a suspenision service but besides that this bike has worked wonders for me so if you want a good bike and you're on ascrict budget, you just gotta look and have a lot of patience. If you find a good deal, don't wait to get it, imeaditty text them and get the bike. If youre looking for something new you're gonna have to spend 800 to 1300 unless its a hardtail. If you're looking for a fully with no problems and you're on a scict 500 to 800 dollar budget then good luck cuz you're gonna be years looking for something unless you buy off a friend or something and keeping up with these bikes isn't exactly cheap either. All I can say is good luck if you're looking for a bike and I hope this helped.
